The photo is badly damaged. It depicts several people working in the filed during a harvest. The men are holding scythes in their hands, the women are tying sheaves. At the back of the photo there is the following inscription: "Taken 1939 - the harvest in Maławieś. It depicts father and son Walenty and Paweł (...) - reapers and women who tied sheaves after the reapers" [original spelling] ; 1939, Mała Wieś, voiv. zielonogórskie ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village).
