Description:

The photo depicts a middle-aged man with two young girls in identical dresses and hats. The man is dressed in a suit and a hat. He is sitting on a wooden bench. Next to him, on the left, there are two standing girls in dark dresses with white collars and with white petticoats. According to the photo's owner, it depicts his grandfather Tomasz (...) and his two youngest daughters: Marta (the photo owner's mother - on the left) and Małgorzata (the aunt). The photo was taken in his grandfather's garden in Bukówiec by his eldest son Ludwik. The photo was taken with a camera constructed by the grandfather who documented with it the most important family events ; 1916 or 1917, Bukówiec Górny, district leszczyński, voiv. wielkopolskie ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village).
