The girl standing next to the woman is dressed in a white blouse and a skirt, a white apron and a colourful, embroidered waistcoat; she has a string of beads around her neck. The man is standing behind them. He is wearing a dark frock-coat and a white shirt with a band collar. According to the photo's owner, it depicts a country family but we do not know where it was taken. On the back of the photo there is an illegible inscription in German ; 13th December 1916 ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village).
