Do metod statystycznych Calhoun'a i Casby (1958) Mazurkiewicz (1971), Wierzbowskiej (1972) oraz dla metody typu niestatycznego (Tanaka, 1972) zbadano wpływ wielkości próby (liczby złowień gryzonia na wartość ocenionych parametrów z symulacji procesu łowienia się gryzonia wewnątrz areału osobniczego. Przyjęto, że areał ten znajduje się na powierzchni eksperymentalnej pokrytej żywołownymi pułapkami znajdującymi się w węzłach siatki o kwadratowych oczkach.
