Zbadano wpływ zagęszczenia populacji i jakości środowiska w miejscu urodzenia na wielkość, odległość i kierunek dyspersji młodzieży Clethrionomys glareolus (Schreber, 1780). Podstawą analizy były materiały obejmujące 208 osobników uzyskane w latach 1968-1971 (Tabela 1). Terenem badań była 4 ha wyspa na jeziorze Bełdany (Ryc. 1), na której rozmieszczono domki gniazdowe w odstępie 30X30 m. Domki te regularnie przeglądano i znakowano indywidualnie nowonarodzone osobniki.
