Description:

Studies were carried out on sections of the brain stem of beavers aged from 6 to 18 months. The material for the studies was fixed in neutralized formalin, dehydrated in ethyl alcohol, embedded in parafin and cross-sectioned to 15 µ. Sections were stained with Löffler's methylene blue after Nissl. Every other section was taken for examination. The position and structure of motor nuclei of medulla oblongata of the beaver are described in this paper. W pracy opisano położenie i budowę jader ruchowych rdzenia przedłuzonego bobra: nucleus n. hypoglossi, nucleus intercalatus Standarini, nucleus paramedianus dorsalis, nucleus sublingualis sympathicus, nucleus praepositus Marburgi, nucleus parasympathicus doralis nn. IX et X, nucleus ambiguus, nucleus n. facialis. nucleus accessorius n. facialis, nucleus n. abducentis, nucleus motorius n. trigemini. nucleus subtrigeminalis. W dyskusji porównano budowę i topografię jąder ruchowych rdzenia przedłużonego bobra z analogicznymi jądrami innych ssaków.
