Description:

The photo depicts a large group of young people (mainly men) outdoors. It is a staged photo, in the first row there are five women sitting on the grass. They are dressed in skirt suits and white blouses, three of them have hats on their heads. On the right and on the left side of the group there are two standing women in folk costumes. Between them, standing in three rows, there is a large group of men; some of them are dressed in uniforms and peaked military caps, some are in suits. The men in the first row are holding bicycles in front of them. The photo was taken outdoors. According to the photo's owner, it depicts an excursion of the village youth - who belonged to the "Sokoły” ["Falcons"] association - to the village of Miedziochowo in Poznań voivodeship ; 1930, Miedzichowo, voiv. poznańskie ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
