An estimate was made of seasonal consumption and digestibility in vivo of the natural food of the roe deer, and also of the digestibility of the dominating species of herb layer plants and browse cut every month in a deciduous tree stand of the Niepołomice Forest in the south of Poland by means of in vitro and nylon bag methods.
