Object description:

The photo shows the situation of burning the camels with the sign of the new owner. The sign of the trident (trisul) is fired. To do this, the shepherds had to shackle the animal's legs and knock it down. The rear leg, above which the mark is burned, is tied with a rope and seven men straighten it. Another shepherd presses the animal's back to the ground so that it does not rise, and the last of them burns a mark on the camel's skin with a hot metal rod. The mark of the former owner of the animal is also visible on the camel's skin. In this case, shepherds work for the Indian army, which also uses camels in the desert area on the border with Pakistan.
