Description:

Sympatric populations of Dipodomys agilis and Dipodomys merriami from San Diego County, California, were monitored by monthly live trapping from September, 1978, through August, 1980. Demographic characteristics of the two species were closely correlated. Both populations displayed relatively stable numbers over the study. Kangaroo rats were most abundant in the winter and spring.
