Abstract:

Ledra aurita (L.) is a very rare recorded species of Auchenorrhyncha in Poland. Among known localities of this species 9 are recorded before 1950 and only 8 between 1951 and 2002. L. aurita is never observed in the Sandomierz Forest and only one locality is known in the whole Sandomierz Basin macroregion, from vicinity of Lubaczów. In 1997-2001 four specimens of L. aurita were collected in the Sandomierz Forest, each of them by means of different methods of sampling and at four different localities: forest district Lipie, Tilio-Carpinetum, sifting of litter, 1 nymphe; forest district Berówka, alder swamp, Mo- ericke’s trap in the alder crown, 1 małe; the forest district Czarny Las, Tilio-carpinetum, Mo- ericke’s trap in the mapie crown, 1 małe; the forest district Zerwanka, a mixed forest, under oaks, 1 female, by hand.
