Title:

The role of habitat isolation in formation of structure and dynamics of the bank vole population

Creator:

Place of publishing:

Date issued/created:

1985

Description:

Examination was made of variations in numbers, rate of exchange of individuals, sex structure and sexual activity, trappability and spatial organization of a local population of bank voles, Clethrionomys glareolus (Schreber, 1780), inhabiting an isolated patch of wooded land forming a habitat island. The results obtained were compared with analogical results for an control open population. The animals were trapped in live-traps, using the CMR method from 1977-1979 in three 10-day series in each calendar year (spring, summer, autumn).
