Description:

In 1982-1984, the activity of European bison Bison bonasus (Linnaeus, 1758) was observed continuously from dawn to dusk. It has been found that the rhythm of activity consist of many phases. The feeding, resting and walking activities of group members are highly synhronized, implaying that the group is a highly consolidated structural unit of bison populations.
