Abstract:

The author of the article tries to estimate the value of transaction costs incurred by the Agency for the Development and Modernization of Agriculture (ARiMR) in the process of securing EU support for Polish agriculture and rural areas in 2004-2010 and to determine the effectiveness of that process and its cost intensity. The conducted analysis has indicated that ARiMR belongs to the group of institutions of this type that are considered to be effective.
