Abstract:

The article presents the research on the contemporary activity and work of Farmer Wives’ Associations. It’s goal is to present, based on the quantitative data, the different ways of how these organizations engage in the social work as well as their key characteristics. The second part of the article concentrates on the problem of the role of tradition in the creation of FWAs, The analysis is in this case based on the qualitative research (namely, case studies) and quantitative data.
