Abstract:

The People’s Republic of China does not have a coherent strategy for the war in Yemen. The evolution of the situation in Yemen, including the ability of the parties to the conflict to ensure stability in the country, has had a significant impact on its actions to date. Even more important were the dynamics of international conditions, including relations with the countries supporting the parties to the conflict. Initially, the scales tilted towards the Houthis and Iran, which supports it, with which China has friendly relations. Later, there was a reassessment towards the government groups and the coalition of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, led by Saudi Arabia, which supports them.
