Abstract:

The article attempts to show the publishing activity carried out for the needs of education of Poles in Switzerland in the years 1940-1945 as a part of cultural and educational activities among the soldiers of the 2nd Infantry Rifle Division. These works, in cooperation with Swiss guests, mainly YMCA, were carried out by Poles. The preparation of publications for various levels of Polish education in Switzerland was a component of the cultural and educational work carried out by and for the benefit of interned soldiers. A total of about 35 works were published, mainly textbooks for soldiers' elementary schools and supplementary vocational courses.
