Description:

The photo depicts a woman and a man in wedding clothes posing next to a table covered with a crocheted tablecloth. The woman is dressed in a white midi dress and a long thick veil fastened to a headgear similar to a cap/beret trimmed with myrtle. The man is dressed in a black three-piece suit with a waistcoat and white shirt. He has a flower and a ribbon pinned to the lapel of his jacket. The photo was taken in a photographic studio in Jasło. According to the photo's owner, it depicts wedding of Szymon (...) and Anna (...) ; 1923, Jasło ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
