Description:

The photo depicts a group of women and men posing for the camera in front of a brick wall. All are elegantly and festively dressed. According to the photo's owner, it was taken in 1927 in Osów near Karsin and depicts teachers who attended a conference (in the photo there is, among others, her uncle Edward). On the back of the photo there is the following inscription: "Teaching staff after the conference in Osów 2.6.1927". Further, there is a list of participants' surnames ; 2nd June 1927, Osowo, com. Karsin, voiv. pomorskie ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
