[A group of children with a rocking pony in front of the house] [An iconographic document]

Description:

The photograph shows a group of ten children of different ages, from about 3 to 11 years old, posing for a photo in the front of a brick house. Children are dressed in everyday summer clothes: bright shirts, dresses, etc., the older girls have ribbons in their hairs. In the middle of crowds of children two boys sitting are on a hrocking pony. In the front of children, you can see the back of some animal with a fur in patches, probably a large dog. FoBehind children you can see a fence, with a woman nest to it and a wall with a window of a brick building ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
