Date issued/created: Description:The photograph shows a newly married couple posing for a picture and surrounded by dozens of people - wedding guests. Newlyweds are sitting in the first row, and before them sit on a carpet man and a woman gazing into each others eye and a young boy and a girl. The bride is wearing a white dress with a veil and the groom has a dark suit and white shirt, with a white little bow in a buttonhole. Amon others a priest is sitting on thier left. All guests are in festive, elegant costumes. The photo was taken in the garden. In the background you can see a brick house with a sloping roof ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village).
