Opis:

Photography (scan from a slide). The village of shepherds kachchi rabari with preserved traditional huts (bhunga). Cottage built on a circular plan with a wooden pin posed in the middle. The walls are made of clay and has thatch roof. In the past, the shepherds rabari built their settlements outside the village. The picture shows shrines which are put outside the village, at which the shepherds celebrate night ceremonies. There are two forms of construction - the older on the circle plan with the stones set with signs of Hindu trident (trishula), each of which refers to a different deity. A more modern form is a rectangular structure. Colorful flags indicate nocturnal ceremonies. In the background are visible buildings of the village
