Description:

Photography (scan from a slide). The village of shepherds kachchi rabari with preserved traditional huts (bhunga). Cottage built on a circular plan with a wooden pin posed in the middle. The walls are made of clay and has thatch roof. Before entering the hut is threshing floor, a place where locals cook, eat and spend time. In the past, the shepherds rabari built their settlements outside the village. The picture shows the cottage with three residents - a mother with children. A woman dressed in characteristic kachchi rabari outfit - black skirt and colorful blouse and a long black veil (ludi) in a pattern in red dots. Cottage is surrounded by a fence built of stone and clay
