Description:

Photography (scan from a slide). The village of shepherds kachchi rabari with preserved traditional huts (bhunga). Cottage are built on a circular plan with a wooden pin posed in the middle. The walls are made of clay and has thatch roof. In the past, the shepherds rabari built their settlements outside the village. The picture show shrine which is placed outside the village, at which the shepherds celebrate night ceremonies. On a separate space on the circle plan are set five stones with Hindu trident signs (trishula). Each of them refers to a different deity. This is an older form of worship of shepherds.
