Description:

Photography (scan from a slide). Two shrines standing next to a Hindu temple in honor of Mommai Mata. Placed by Hothi Rajputs from the neighboring village of Mota Bandra, and used during the holidays of Mommai mata by kachchi rabari. Temple is located in a valley surrounded by hills. It is here that characteristic rabari night rituals take place in the autumn season (Aso Sud 7). During the night ceremony 150-200 people gather around her, and is surrounded by the cordon of camels. For the shepherds rabari Mommai Mata is the caring goddess riding a camel
