Description:

Photography (scan from a slide). Hindu temple in honor of Mommai mat. Built by Hothi Rajputs from the neighboring village of Mota Bandra, and used during the Mommai Mata fairs by kachchi rabari. Temple is located in a valley surrounded by hills. Here take place characteristic rabari night ceremonies in the autumn season (Aso Sud 7). During the ceremony 150-200 people gather around her, and surrounded by a cordon of all camels. To the shepherds rabari Mommai Mata is the goddess of caring riding a camel. In the picture shepherd is grazing a herd of cows in the area of the temple
