Photography (scan from a slide). The temple priest of the village sanosara - the first on the right - with the family. He belongs to the caste Gosvami, whose profession is the care and maintenance of the shivaite temple. These types of churches were formed in the villages of Gujarat in the late nineteenth century. They were part of the internal colonization of border areas of Hinduism and Islam. In the picture the priest (babaji) with his wife and four children. Network of shivaite Hindu temples belonged to categories supra Hinduism. Picture taken against the walls of the temple
