Description:

Photography (scan from a slide). Groom and best man during the wedding ceremony kachchi rabari. The groom dressed like an ornate King (Raja), the head is decorated with a hat. On the back is the best man - probably the brother of the groom - dressed in white festive attire, traditionally with white turban on his head - a sign of belonging to a group dheberiya rabari. The picture also shows the 'pillars' wedding stacked with copper pots. This are Hindu ceremonial items
