Description:

Photography (scan from a slide). Men dressed in typical clothes of kachchi rabari group sitting at the shrine. On the wall are the trident red marks and dots. Picture has been taken during the feast of Vachchada Dada. It takes place it in middle of the day (Kartik Sud, first Monday), and not, as other after the dusk. Participants gather around shrines lying in the field - men sit on the shrines, sing and play, and women sitting on the ground. It is is also an opportunity to give first names to children who were born in during the year. During the of this ceremony one of the helpers is taking another baby on the hands, and bhopa, a type of the medium in the red turban, falls into a trance and is suitable to give children names
