Abstract:

The pellets of four owl species Tyto alba (SCOP.), Strix aluco L., Asio otus (L.) and Bubo bubo (L.) were collected during the years 1986–87 and 1998–1990 from 14 localities situated in Western and Central Roztocze Upland (SE Poland) (Fig. 1). From the collected pellet material there were bony remains of 6101 individuals of vertebrates belonging to mammals (n=6025) and birds (n=72) and 15 specimens of insects (Tab. I). The prepared mammals belonging to 24 species (which makes 82,7% Micromammaliarecorded for Roztocze). Apodemus uralensisis new to the fauna of the Roztocze.
