The photo shows a numerous group of men standing around an older man in a hat with a walking-stick in his hand, being held on the hands of a few men. In the background you can see an impressive classicist building with columns ; On the bottom of the photo, an inscription: Regional congress of SL delegates, W. Witos’s return from Czech, Tarnów market-square August 19 ; On the back of the photo there is another inscription: Another photo, taken by I don’t know whom, I can’t read it out [by whom it was taken], found [it] somewhere in my junk, v. [badly] destroyed. But this is Mr. Wincenty Witos ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village).
