Description:

The photo shows a group of a dozen or so children aged 12-14 posing against a background of shrubs and bushes. In the first row on the left sits a priest in a cassock and biretta, on either side of him two men and a woman in a humble, dark-coloured outfit, a little girl to her right. Behind them stand two rows of children in everyday clothes.: girls in colourful summer dresses and boys in dark-coloured coats ; According to the owner of the photo, it was taken in 1928 and shows the children that attend the religion lessons in the Starzyno parish. The people present on the photo include his mother’s sister Rozalia (second from the left in the lower row), the organ player Walentyn (...), a priest of the Sieki parish and the teacher Walenty (...). The second person from the left in the third row is the owner’s mother’s brother Otton (...) ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village).
