Description:

The photo shows the newlyweds and their wedding guests posing for the photo in front of a high brick wall. In the middle of the front row the young couple is sitting and to their right the priest. The bride is dressed in a white dress with a veil. On a top of the veil she is wearing a wreath of myrtle-tree twigs. She is holding a bouquet of flowers. The groom is wearing a black suit and a white shirt and a bow is pinned onto a lapel of the suit. The rest of the guests are dressed elegantly. Most of the men are dressed in dark suits, white shirts and bow-ties or ties. On the ground in front of the young couple, two girls and a boy are sitting. The girl in the middle is wearing a white dress and has a cockade-shaped ribbon inserted into her hair ; According to the owner it is a photo of her cousin’s wedding in the village of Przybysław. The donor’s mother is the first woman from the left in the second row. The donor herself is seated in front of the bride ; 1933, Przybysław ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village).
