Abstract:

Artykuł przestawia analizę porównawczą rozkwitu dwóch miejsc greko-katolickich objawień maryjnych, które miały niedawno miejsce w dwóch miejscowościach po dwóch stronach granicy ukraińsko-słowackiej, na terytorium znajdującym się przed drugą wojną światową pod administracją tej samej jednostki Kościoła greko-katolickiego. Prezentowana analiza skupia się na sposobie, w jaki były traktowane te objawienia przez instytucje kościelne w obydwu państwach, ukazując relację między odpowiedzią Kościoła a konkretnymi układami państwo-Kościół na Słowacji i na Ukrainie. Współczesna organizacja tych układów w obydwu krajach określa specyficzny charakter interakcji pomiędzy instytucją Kościoła, lokalnymi księżmi i parafianami. W przypadku Słowacji (1) niezależność władz kościelnych od wiernych jest większa i w konsekwencji (2) wierni nie przejawiają zainteresowania sprawami Kościoła, jak też nie próbują w nie ingerować. Na Ukrainie z kolei współczesne relacje państwo-kościół są źródłem (1) zależności instytucji Kościoła od wiernych i ich datków oraz (2) chęci wpływu i odpowiedzialności wiernych za Kościół
