Abstract:

The scope of this book it the creation of innovative materials for teaching/learning Latin language. The list of a basic Latin vocabulary is being prepared in accordance to the guidelines of the Council of Europe at the A1 level of language proficiency and will be presented as a thematic dictionary— it will consists of lexems, phrases and very typical for Latin teaching sentences to each issue. Moreover it will also include exercises which are made to enable the consolidation of grammar acquired at any given stage of a learning process. The scope of my research includes the development of innovative materials for teaching and learning Latin language based on the guidelines proposed by the Council of Europe. It also includes the assessment of achieving the A1 level in Latin language within the four language skills (reading, listening, writing and speaking). This project provides, inter alia, the answer to the lack of modern teaching materials for Latin teachers as well as the lack of learning materials. This project also attempts to develop the four mentioned above language skills in learning Latin process.
