Abstract:

The purpose of the study was to determine the permeability of the cerebral blood vessels in hepatic encephalopathy. The experiments were performed on 51white Wistar raits. The experimental group consisted of 30 and the control of 21animals.In the experimental group, liver cirrhosis was induced by subcutaneous injectionof carbon tetrachloride in liquid paraffin. The controls received only liquid paraffinin same amounths as experimental animals. All animals received a 1.5% silvernitrate solution to drink as a marker of the permeability of cerebral vessels.
