Abstract:

The dynamics of acute phase proteins (fibrinogen alfa1-antilrypsin, alfa2-macroglobulin) and immunoglobulin G in the blood serum was studied and compared in 40 patients with ischemic brain stroke to the localization and distribution of those proteins in the cerebral tissue (4 sestional cases) . To measure proteins in the blood and cerebral tissue, the emplloyment of monocinal antibodiee to the proteins under study. It has been demonstrated that acute phase proteins detected in the acute period penetrate into the brain, being demonstrable there for a longer time than in the blood , thus attesr=ting to the increased permeability of the blood -brain barrier and low intesity of their tissue metabolism in the area of foci of vascular brain impairment.
