Abstract:

The problem of the thrid blastomic from of diffuse sclerosis and its histopathologic characteristics are discussed. The premitted Scheinker to define this from as an individual morbid entity-glioblastosis diffusa. This from may be considered as transitory between diffuse lesions characterised by demyeliasations and neoplasms proper. Further on a personal case pf diffuse gliobastosis localised in the braintrunk is described. In author's opinion the term of glioblastosis diffusa should be applied to the whole group of diseases characterised by diffuse blastomatic proliferation of gliomatic tissue. Only particular forms characterised insufficient degree of cellular differenatation should be termed respectively astrocytoma diffusum or lemmoblastosis . Schwannosis or spongioblastosis diffusa. Morover the tern of glioblastosis diffusa should be reserved for this from in which the cells are indifferentiated and cannot be classified as any of the known and strictly defined types.
