Abstract:

Performance of the so-called lateral patch on the arterial wall after arteriotomy was described. This procedure is used in the 1st Clinic of Surgery of the Medical Academy in Warsaw. Lateral „patch” prevents stenosis of the artery after arteriotomy and suture of the arterial wall, as well it makes possible to enlarge segmental stenosis of arterial lumen without thrombendarteriectomy.
