 abstract={During archaeological supervision of earthworks at a medieval church in Stołczyn (Szczecin), half of a floor tile with a relief depicting a deer was discovered. The location of the find, its chronology and similar finds allow us to hypothesise that at least in the 15th century, Stołczyn, then a village north of Szczecin, had a brickyard that produced brick architectural elements not only for the immediate vicinity, but also for nearby Szczecin. This would be the oldest evidence of the existence of a brickyard in a place that was a centre of this industry in the 19th and 20th centuries.},
