At that time, Malinowski kept diaries, which are part of A Diary in the Strict Sense of the Term and concern the period from September to October 1911 and from August 1912 to January 1913. Reading them today is a reason to look at the circumstances of their creation in the context of events and people present in Zakopane at the time and, first of all, of the meetings of these two eminent scholars. Piłsudski was already an experienced field researcher, Malinowski was just planning to go into the field. The time that Malinowski described in the diaries is also the period of activity of the Ethnology Section of the Tatra Society established by Piłsudski to support the activities of the Tatra Museum. The museum and the section brought together Polish scientists and artists mentioned in Malinowski’s diaries. Did Malinowski and Piłsudski talk about ethnology when they met in Zakopane? Did Malinowski learn from Piłsudski’s scientific experience?}, type={Text}, title={Bronisław Malinowski i Bronisław Piłsudski w Zakopanem.
