The photo depicts a group of people festively dressed posing in front of an altar with a painting of the Holy Mother (?). The altar is covered with a white cloth, decorated with flowers and green birch tree branches. According to its owner, the photo comes from 1918 and depicts a group of people after an annual church celebration of the Corpus Christi Day in the village of Kokoszyce, a parish that constituted a part of the parish commune of Pszów as a “kuratoryjna” [curatorian] parish ; Corpus Christi Day 1918, Kokoszyce, district Pszów, com. Rybnik ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village).
