Description:

A description is given of the wild boar harvest in the western part of the Białowieża Primeval Forest during the hunting seasons 1970/71-1979/80. The average number obtained was 7.6 animals/1000 ha of forest. Piglets formed only a small proportion (12%) of the harvest, while the proportion of adult males was high (35%).
