Description:

The experiment involved 11 fallow deer fawns aged several hours to 10 days and caught in an enclosed area of 100-150 ha. Observations were made on growth, development and behaviour. The fawns were weighed and measurements made at about ten-day interval. Males were somewhat heavier than females immediately after birth.
