W pracy skupiono uwagę na problemie znalezienia pierwiastka dla funkcji ciągłej f na przedziale [a, b] z zadaną dokładnością. O funkcji f zakłada się przeważnie, że jej wykres ma skończoną długość. Dla funkcji, których wykres ma nieskończoną długość przedstawiana metoda może nie znaleźć w skończonym czasie wszystkich pierwiastków.
