As a group, they play an important role in arthropod population density regulation processes together with predators, parasites and other microbialpathogens. A number ofspecies have been selected to by applied in biopesticide technological production. The majority ofspecies known in Poland representthe order ofthe entomophthorales within Zygomycotina and the hyphomycetousanamorphs of Ascomycotina. Apart from their taxonomical diversity they showstrong functional differentiation resulting from enzymatic and toxic activityagainst their hosts and immunological response ofthe latter. These phenomenamay be considerably modified by environmental conditions. Some aspects ofthese relationships were discussed and greater attention to their significancefor pharmacological and other biotechnologies is suggested.}, title={Functional differentiation of entomopathogenic fungi}, type={Text}, URL={http://rcin.org.pl/ichb/Content/140363/PDF/POZN271_175787_biotechnologia-2000-no3-balazy.pdf}, keywords={biotechnology}, }
