The research was conducted in the hydrological years 2016%5C-2020 as part of the Integrated Monitoring of the Natural Environment in Poland %5C(ZM%C5%9AP%5C) program%2C using the infrastructure of the ZM%C5%9AP%E2%80%99s %5C%22Pozna%C5%84%5C-Morasko%5C%22 Base Station %E2%80%93 of Adam Mickiewicz University in Pozna%C5%84 %E2%80%93 the first such Base Station to be located within the boundaries of a large urban agglomeration. A key finding concerned a positive ion balance among nutrients supplied as a result of human activity %5C(e.g. through fertiliser use%5C) %E2%80%93 involving NO3%5C-%2C NH4%5C%2B and K%5C%2B. Remaining chemical components %5C(denudation ions%5C) present in the waters circulating in the catchment are in turn characterised by a negative balance.%22]
