The school authorities of the Pomeranian School District Board in Toruń took steps to help pupils in the region improve their health. To this end, summer camps were organised in towns far from polluted cities, providing children with qualified staff, balanced and plentiful meals, and outdoor physical activity. Board inspectors were dispatched to summer camps to monitor and report on all activities related to the organization and operation of the camps, paying particular attention to the children's health. This initiative contributed, to varying degrees, to improving the health of many thousands of pupils.}, type={Text}, title={The involvement of the Pomeranian School District Board in Toruń in improving children’s health in interwar Poland}, URL={http://rcin.org.pl/ihn/Content/247878/Zaanga%C5%BCowanie_Kuratorium_Okr%C4%99gu_Szk.pdf}, keywords={interwar period, Pomerania, school authorities, children, health}, }
