 abstract={The article discusses Gazeta Prawosławna, published in Warsaw in 1936–1937. It was one of the leading Polish-language papers addressed to the Orthodox believers living in interwar Poland. It presents the formal analysis of the paper, its publishers, and its content, all set against the background of other Polish-language Orthodox periodicals. All of them were published in the 1930s by the Warsaw Orthodox Metropolis, the Orthodox Scientific and Publishing Institute, the Głos Prawosławia Publishing Company or, like the paper under analysis, the Orthodox Poles with the support of the state institutions. By allowing the Polish--language Orthodox press to be printed, including the analysed paper, the authorities undertook actions aimed at closer union of the Orthodox Church faithful with the state.},
