 abstract={Contemporary research into crimes committed during Second World War requires an interdisciplinary approach and a new research perspective. This article adopts such an approach to examine the Pomeranian crime of 1939, which saw the wide spread killing of members of the Polish population, people mentally ill and local Jews, in the early months of the German occupation of the former Pomeranian province. In the article, historians, a public prosecutor, an ethnologist, and an archaeologist explain the objectives of their research, outline their methodologies, and highlight the importance of collaboration between different disciplines in understanding these events.},
